Kern Valley Golf Course is located on the Kern River between Wofford Heights and Kernville, home to the annual Whiskey Flat Days. This beautiful mountain area is the backdrop to our charming golf course. The parkland type golf course has plateau fairways lined by mature trees which demands accuracy rather than length. With beautiful true rolling greens the Kern Valley Golf Course is long renowned as best in the region. The 9-hole regulation length golf course may be played as 18 holes off two sets of tees providing 6397 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 69.3 and it has a slope of 116. Designed by John Ewing, the Kern Valley golf course opened in 1961. The Kern Valley Golf Course is Celebrating 50 Years in Business The Kern Valley Golf Course is operated under a Special Use Permit Authority with the Sequoia National Forest for use by members and the general public.
